Wanda Robinson is a North Carolina-based impressionist painter who uses soft colors and loose brushwork to create poetic and atmospheric landscapes.

 

Always beginning with warm washes of color on her canvas, she moves freely through her work, blending realism with impressionism to reflect the serenity and rhythm of nature, often inspired by her coastal beginnings. Her paintings explore how light transforms the familiar -- beaches at sunrise, weathered barns, and the fleeting glow of sunset.

Originally from Virginia Beach, Wanda spent the first 30 years of her professional life as a paralegal, followed by a short time in real estate prior to retiring in 2022, when she was able to make her dream of being a full-time artist a reality.

Wanda's work can be seen in local galleries across central North Carolina, and at various art shows and fairs in the Spring and Fall seasons.
