The best time for a walk on the beach at Topsail Island is at sunset. The salty air has little wisps of coolness to it, and you can hear the sound of the waves on the shoreline because the beach has quieted down for the evening. This painting was done from a photograph taken by me on a recent day trip to the North Carolina barrier islands.
